The Urbana Lion’s Club is one of the oldest service clubs in Urbana and with support from local companies like yours; we hope to continue to remain a vital support group for our community. Service groups such as the Urbana Lion’s Club are very important to Urbana.
OUR VISION
To be the global leader in community and humanitarian service. Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since we first began in 1917. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.
Where Does our money go?
How do we give back to the community?
We believe in assisting the community with their vision needs, pilot dogs, and donating to the community in general. This past year we are able to give three $1,000 scholarships to local students. We also assist local school students and community members with their eyeglass needs, along with those that cannot afford glasses.
The Urbana Lion’s Club is very active in the community. A few of our fundraisers include: Annual Lion’s Pancake Breakfast--February Lion’s Golf Outing-June Annual Grocery Raffle—Fall Placement of American Flags—All Year |
