Flags Across Urbana
A joint project of the Urbana Lions Club and VFW Post 5451
The Urbana Lions Club, in partnership with VFW Post 5451, is proud to offer American Flags Across Urbana, a community pride project honoring our country, our veterans, and the patriotic spirit of Urbana.
Through this program, residents and businesses can subscribe to have a quality 3’ x 5’ American flag displayed on a 10-foot pole in front of their home or business on five patriotic holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Your flag will also be flown on September 11 at Freedom Grove.
The Urbana Lions Club provides the flag, pole, and all materials. Our volunteers install the flags before each holiday and remove them afterward, making it simple for you to show your pride and support the community.
All proceeds stay local and support Urbana Lions Club projects and nonprofit efforts, including eyeglass assistance, pilot dogs, school scholarships, Urbana City Schools, Community Christmas, Second Harvest, the Backpack Program, Summer Fest, Champaign Family YMCA, Sycamore House, Wreaths Across America, and many more local needs.
A one-year flag subscription is $50 per location. Each additional flag at the same location is $25.
